You're correct about this. There may be an easy solution: what if turbogears.controllers.Controller has a default method that will do RESTful URLs? If the current path component doesn't match, look up the *next* path component (if there is one) and call that. (CP itself could do this, too, I think.) Note that if an identifier matches one of your method names, you'll have a problem.
