Why would you mess with dropdowns? Try typing
"Jan" TAB "26" TAB 2005. Works just fine for me. It would be nice if you could enter a number for the month but that's a pretty easy change to make. Is there a way to make the current Turbogears calendar widget (which is just mishoo, isn't it?) allow keyboard data entry? I didn't see anything like that on the mishoo website.
