ps. Most of this ajax fairy dust can be added to subclassing existing widgets. For instance Jared's select widget can be subclassed to include a 'loadFromUrl' or an 'updateFromUrlWhenThatSelectWidgetChanges' parameter =).

JavaScript can be considered a bad or a good language, anyway it's a
language and you need to use it (on the client side) thus I don't like
the idea of hiding it in this way, MochiKit is just brilliant IMHO.
