I agree with Robin's statements. As we talked about earlier in the previous thread, the G-gear needs to be a bit smaller (the size of the one in layout 3 seems good). Two columns in the content area (probably one a little bigger than the other) would be good. The main content space would be describing TurboGears. The other would have the "project happenings". (Or "Gearings On" as a horrible pun on "Goings On" that I'm really, seriously, not going to use.) I've liked a lot of the gears made along the way, and we'll probably find fun contexts to use them in (the mirrored-surface gear was neat). I think the gold gear goes with the front page color scheme well in layout 2. I also like the subtle notches visible in the gold gear. Let's head down this path. Thanks to Richard, Karl and everyone else for all of the work in bringing together a new look for the site! It'll make a huge difference!
