One suggestion about doc pages. Every doc page and all of it's sub-sections should have a place where users (novice and more expirenced ones) could post comments with questions or solutions to most common problems related to subject. An example of this is zope's documentation - users can view these comments as well as turn them off.
That way all questions related to certain subject would be in one place and users wouldn't need to browse usergroups or search on google for hourse.
