I just wanted to let everyone know that I added schema support to the AjaxDataController. It's largely untested at the moment, but you can specify a schema against which the incoming data will be validated.
For example:
users= AjaxDataController( sql_class=TG_User, id_column="userId",
schema=someUserSchema )
