I agree with most of the other comments that have come already. - there's something about the green "download" bar that seems a bit much. that bar stands out more than I'd expect. - the stuff Ronald said - I actually agree with Karl that the page is a little "tense" from the G facing away... but a little tension never hurt anyone, and I'm not sure what a good solution would be. The G all the way on the left might be too boring - I run at 1024 width, but my browser window is ~900px right now. Coming across a 990px site would be annoying, just because it's wider than my window and almost everything else out there. I'm not sure about "gear up" at number 3. Some more thought will have to go into those three, I think. I've been looking more in terms of layout and haven't given thought to specific copy on the page as yet anyhow.
