cboos of the Trac project put forth the effort and discovered that our Trac database was actually corrupted. I rebuilt the database (and upgraded from sqlite 3.2.2 to 3.2.8) and things are happier now. When rebuilding the db, sqlite only complained about a couple of sessions, so I think all of the data made it across.
