Matt, I got mine worked out, though I don't know if this will work for you since yours seems different. Basically all I did was switch it to production mode. I also upgraded to the latest SVN, and it had changed by one or two version numbers. Dev mode was still broken for me after the upgrade, but switching to prod mode made everything peachy. Switching meaning editing config.py, and also renaming setup.py so that the startup script would load the prodcfg.py file rather than the devcfg.py file.
