I should have been clearer, and provided a link to what I was talking about, but I had hoped that by this time someone might have read the thread: http://groups.google.com/group/turbogears/browse_thread/thread/694f7be88cde5bc7 I had no trouble until AFTER the new setuptools was successfully installed (Which I accomplished by not following the muddled instructions.) It simply refuses to update any programs unless old versions are manually removed prior to installation, which is NOT the way things used to work...or the way they SHOULD work...Many people have had problems with setuptools since the change-over to 0.9a1, and it can't all be due to ignorance of the -U switch! As the saying goes, "First, you have to admit you have a problem."
