Ahh, I see. No i had not yet added the folder that svn is in to my $PATH, sure enough once i did it quickstart worked. I would have to agree with you on the automatic add, that is not what i expect the quickstart to do. I always thought it just laid down the skeleton for a project and stop, that also probably explains why i was confused as to how svn was automatically adding folders :-)
