Too much magic is bad, but there is a balancing act to be done.   You
need to show productivity enhancing features with the wiz-bang effect
to hook people in, but unfortunately that's where the magic which
turns people off happens!

The key in my mind is to have a compelling -- but very short -- story
of how your super-cool feature works to tell as you show it off.  In
an intro screen cast people don't need to know the details of how
everything works underneath the hood, but they need to know

And probably, a super-cool framework will ultimately need one set of
screencasts/tutorials/online documents for intro-marketing and another
set of materials for learning the framework.
