Cool! I hadn't seen that. At least someone has managed to get Hype to build. If we can make eggs of that, we may be all set. I do like the idea of a database-based text index, because often that's where the source data is anyhow. However, MySQL requires text indexes to be MyISAM (which isn't so bad if you don't have lots of updates). I didn't know (until this thread) that postgresql does full text at all, so that's good to hear. The good thing about something like Hype is that it could be deployed anywhere.
