I don't want to diminish the work that Eric has done here, because it's something that SQLObject has needed for some time. (Thanks, Eric!) But, I just thought I'd mention that someone starting a brand new project with Oracle might want to seriously consider SQLAlchemy. Particularly if you use some of Oracle's native features.
