Jonathan,

A friend of mine, Dave Anderson, worked with me on web development
back in the mid-nineties.   A lot of the jobs we got were little
one-off web sites done on the cheep, but even then some of his work
was very good.   And his design and artistic portfolio, which wasn't
restricted to the same crazy budgets and timelines, was fantastic.

We've kept up over the years, and I've seen some of his more recent
work, and he's definitely kept growing and improving. Anyway, I hear
that he is currently open to new opportunities, so I thought I'd
connect you two and see if anything comes out of it.
