It does bother me. On my 1.1GHz machine it was typically a 10 second wait, easily enough to break your flow if you're used to truly rapid iterations: Ctrl-S, Alt-Tab, F5... on my new PC it's down to 5 seconds, which is ok most of the time but still slows down those times you want to quickly check the minor adjustments.
