Before I started the refresh I decided to look one last time. I found this bug in the trac.
http://trac.turbogears.org/turbogears/ticket/835 Apparently because I was using the universal build of macpython some of the eggs from the download page weren't compatible, and as I didn't have the apple developer tools with universal binary support i was unable to compile them. I was able to install the properly compiled egg in the ticket and am now downloading the XCode 2.3 install so that I can compile the cElementTree module as well. I will update this thread after I install the new verion of XCode and try to install turbogears again.
