While working on packaging TurboGears I've noticed it depends on
SQLObject >= 0.7.1dev-r1457. Would it work with 0.7.0? Is this version
requirement because of a bug fix on that revision?
the current turbogears trunk depends on the 0.7.1 "bug fix" branch of SQLObject, so each release depends on certain revision not because that rev it's critical but because at that rev was when the TG version was release, and at that point is the minimum version at which the TG code was tested.
Would the patch to fix the problem, applied to 0.7.0, be enough?
actually you will have to apply all patches in between your instalation and r1457 to be "100%" sure.
