What editor does everyone use for development and why? No need to hash
over vi and emacs just interested in the *other* editors that are being
used.
Also what are some of the setups you use to increase productivity.
After all this is an agile development framework. So any pointers or
tips or applications you might use that might make deveploment faster
would be usefull.
I have been using scite for a while, it's really nice as a text editor I found it trying to get an equivalent of TextMate since I'm not mac geek and they don't want to port TextMate to linux or windows.
Scite has command completition, highlighting, autodetect and many other nice features, the only thing missing is the folder view, but tabs and a explorer-like interface will get you that.
for kid I used bluefish for a while but now I'm all in scite
