We are DB-centric folks looking to port a child safety application from
a .Net solution to a Turbogears 1.0 solution. The web side of this is
a fairly low complexity thing, perhaps 25-30 page/screens just now.

We did a test expansion of the solution using Cherrypy 2.2 this spring,
and we were very pleased with the results, so we want to bite the
bullet and do the rest of it using Turbogears this summer. What we
like our TG is great looking results with relatively minimal coding
effort, and significant implementation flexibility across platforms
(opposite of .Net, we feel).

However, I am losing sleep over getting some of the architecture pieces
right in TG, as the product is great but new, the docs in 0.9 and 1.0
are early stage, and we would like to get the "big pieces" right
without a lot of false starts, for example, intelligent use of widgets.

Does anyone know any passionate TG developers who would be interested
in some near-term consulting work? We are somewhat poor, but our hearts
are in the right place, and we have a little funding. What we'd be
looking for is someone with 10-40 hours to use over the next few weeks
to take a look at the running .Net stuff, and either outline a
framework in TG for attacking the problem, or better yet, stub in some
of the major controllers chunks and kid templates. The DB side is in
OK shape in Postgres, and we have an applicaiton doing the core job
just now to use as a starting point.

We have some decent python hacks to run with it for a while from there
and flesh out the logic, but we'd also want some on going assists from
time to time for weird things that crop up, especially around MochiKit
and Kid stuff, where we are totally green. If anyone's interested,
drop me an email at mgrollman at cox dot net. Thanks for listening!
