I've been trying to install TurboGears on a Gentoo box, and ez_setup is
failing with the following output:
on my gentoo box I skip using ez_setup since setuptools/easy_install is in portage. but it's masked.
if you are not running ~x86 (or your platform which i believe is 64bits) you need to unmask it in package.keywords. then
emerge it, and after that use the easy_install instructions.
by the way you need root access to install this.
