I've updated SQLObject to the latest SVN version (0.8dev_r1859). After removing a version check within turbogears all seem to work now. I've done some tests and was not able to observe the problem again. I've not tested Windows only the Mandriva Linux 2007 Beta yet. I'll make some more tests but it's looking good at my place now!
