If you had read Guido's blog
(http://www.artima.com/weblogs/index.jsp?blogger=guido), you could see
it coming (Django Gaining Steam, Django vs. Cheetah: 1-0). Guido
doesn't like XML-based templates (What Part of "No XML" Don't You
Understand), like Kid and Markup (which implies that TG would have to
lose those in order to "converge" and keep Guido happy).

From my perspective, since I haven't yet had the time to do hands on
work with TurboGears, the biggest drawback of Django is the ORM. I
caused them to reluctantly reopen their ticket for supporting
multiple-column primary keys (http://code.djangoproject.com/ticket/373),
but they said it would be very difficult to fix properly. I hope that
TG with SQLAlchemy turn out to be the solution.
