I agree, it is a pain to dredge through source files to figure out what named arguments things take.
Without an API you are really limited to doing exactly what you can find in a tutorial somewhere, or mashups of tutorials, or digging through the source. Not only is there not an API, but most of TG is completely undocumented (or if it is documented it is unfound by me). I understand that it is a new project, and I am not berating anyone, far from it. I think the people who work on TG are fantastic, and are producing something great. My impatience with the documentation is purely a result of wanting to use TG right now!
