So the template can be simplified. I've 3 screenshots made with this from my firewall data available at: http://godoy.homeip.net/images/fw-grapher1.jpg http://godoy.homeip.net/images/fw-grapher2.jpg http://godoy.homeip.net/images/fw-grapher3.jpg They are animated where the bars grow from bottom up and the legend comes from right to left. :-) All this dynamically generated and integrated with that simple form to choose input + output interfaces. Passing parameter to the controller is a bit annoying in that you have to code "?", "=" and "&" as %3F, %3D and %26 respectively.
