That is actually the way that the setuptools docs recomend, and I always keep it handy, but I dislike the idea of setting up a proxy everytime I want to install/upgrade packages, and in my case there is still the issue of our corporate NetShield filtering things. I wonder if I should add a blurb about it to the wiki page, even though the current solution is more general. Thoughts anyone?
