[TurboGears] Making a catalog

Hey I am new to TurboGears and I would like to know if it is possible to make a directory of services that can be pulled from a database and sorted by various columns?  I want this directory to be on the internet and the site visitors would be able to customize what they want to see and how it is displayed.  Possible???  Would this take a lot of work that a beginner probably couldn't handle???
