I had something similar in the past, although I only had to convince myself.

let me give you a couple of reasons.

- hosting today is cheap so cheap that it really doesn't matter that much
- you pay for quality
- webfaction has a very nice support for python, in fact they where
call python-hosting and changed it because people though that was the
only thing they hosted.
- who will be better at setting up a TG server then the guys that
develop and know the internals of cherrrypy?
