Hello all, I'm designing a site for some clients and I'm wondering if MySQL or Postgres would be more desirable.
The site, as far as they've decided so far, will be transaction oriented and contain financial data. They are expecting 1000 concurrent users, possibly more, over time. This will be a brand new site so there aren't any legacy issues right now. I'm more familiar with MySQL but I'm leaning towards Postgres b/c it has better transaction support and b/c I'm going to start using Trac (which seems to prefer Postgres over MySQL.)
