Vi bindings aren't *usually* the same thing. I don't know for Wing, but for instance the vi binding port for komodo ( don't know if it's released yet, some buddies of mine are developers there ) doesn't include vim commands, macros, vim to python command mappers and vice versa, and the full power of vim keymaps. After they told me that I passed on the offer of a beta copy. ; ) Now eclipse is supposed to be able to do real vim integration using eclim, but I have not tried it out yet, has anyone? I would be very interested in a wiki page ( ok, two, we should make one for the emacsers too, ha ha ) of editor related stuff to speed up gears development. That's something I could contribute to right away.
