That would be Kevin. TurboGears was started by Kevin and he continues to guide us in the direction that he wants the project to take. > IMHO every software development equip needs a > DBFL, especially in OpenSource development model. We haven't yet switched focus to SQLAlchemy and Genshi. For 1.0, Kid and SQLObject are still the prime supported tools in their area as far as TurboGears is concerned. SQLAlchemy and Genshi support have been added (actually, Genshi added itself as it uses the Buffet template plugin system that TG supports) but they are still second class citizens in TG. Granted, a lot of people are starting to use SA over SO, but that's not because we're pushing it that way at the moment. It's because (imho and obvously the opinion of many others too) SA is actually a lot better as an ORM and it is available for use. > I think, if we reach 1.0 with good and consistent docs (even without > the best and newer componets available) we can attract more developers > to join us, and than implement newer versions with more new features > and componnets, and than.... There are many people putting in a tremendous effort to get the documentation up to scratch but more help is needed, even if it's just reading through the existing documentation and leaving comments. Every little helps :) Lee. -- Lee McFadden blog: http://www.splee.co.uk work: http://fireflisystems.com --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TurboGears" group.
