The answer to that question is highly dependent on your system. If you are running windows (or OS X? not sure) ou will need to get a copy of the GNU program 'patch'. Most linux systems should already have it or a very easy way to get it. You can start here: http://www.gnu.org/software/patch/patch.html Docs on using that should be easy enough to find.
