I would assume that this has not been applied due to the ticket's
status.

The answer to that question is highly dependent on your system. If you
are running windows (or OS X? not sure) ou will need to get a copy of
the GNU program 'patch'. Most linux systems should already have it or a
very easy way to get it. You can start here:
http://www.gnu.org/software/patch/patch.html

Docs on using that should be easy enough to find. Let me know if you
hit any snags or have questions.

It looks like you should only need diff 6, but I would have to test it
to be sure.
