I am glad to hear I am not alone with this issue.
Personally I had used i18n here only in a mini project and could
replace it (I am not even using TG in this case any more) with some
hand-written _() function that I am passing in to some genshi
templates and using them like this:
<p>${_('some string to be translated')}</p>
So in this particular case I was under no pressure to get it
running and I haven't further looked into this issue -
But i18n in TG should definitely be working! I was
surprised to get no feedback on this issue for such a long time.
I haven't had a chance to pick up Mark and Kevins book
(so I don't know what is in there) - but I hope there
will be a chapter/appendix on i18n (is there?)
Can some of the TG power users/developers confirm
that i18n is working? - Any particular steps we were
missing / we got wrong? Are there only English-only users
of TG (can't believe it: someone has written i18n)?
