You mentioned that you were following the directions from the trac.
Try following the ones from the docs site instead:

The one at the trac site is broken with just the kind of behavior
you're describing.  (There's a message at the top of that page that
says it doesn't work, btw  ;-)   The trac site was locked down right
after I wrote that page, so I wasn't able to fix it)

In the last post of that thread, I asked if someone with privs would be
willing to delete the trac page, but I never got a response.   Anyway,
I'm sorry if all this confusion caused you too much trouble.   The good
news is that the fix is simple:  where I had 'name' attributes in the
original doc, switch them to 'id'.
