In your main controller, or any other file you include at startup:

from turbogears import view

def addvars(vars):
    vars['breadCrumbLinks'] = breadCrumbLinks

view.variable_providers.append(addvars)

----

Then, you may refer to the function as tg.breadCrumbLinks from the
templates.
