Hi, I just found out that more than the half of processing time serving my requests is spend in the KID i18n-filter in kidutils. This is simply unacceptable, especially as the complexity and size of my templates is considerably small so far.
I'm willing to to something here - caching springs to my mind, but I'm unsure where to go for this, or if other options like switching to genshi (which I'd rather not do as I'm comfy with KID, but if I need to) will cure this for me. I'm pretty sure I can create localized versions of my templates using element-tree, gettext and some simple parsing. I'm only unsure where to hook that into: is it more a TG thing, or should this even be dealt with inside KID itself? Any suggestions appreciated, -- >> Diez B.
