Looking at the original error would lead me to believe that the error is in the RulesDispatch install process and not gcc. While '-fno_strict_aliasing' is an argument to gcc, the complaint is about not being able to execute the script '-fno_strict_aliasing'. This seems like a quoting error to me, or a bug in the configure or make process.
I'd try installing RulesDispatch by hand out side of an easy_install and see if you can load it that way. Nicky On 12/22/06, Matt Wilson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:

Here's my gcc version: 4.1.2. $ which gcc /usr/bin/gcc $ gcc --version gcc (GCC) 4.1.2 20060928 (prerelease) (Ubuntu 4.1.1-13ubuntu5) Copyright (C) 2006 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
