ahh yes I had this problem with webfaction, they don't have a local smtp server so you need to point there, also you need to create a mailbox and it has to be a valid mail address check this out http://forum.webfaction.com/viewtopic.php?id=231 if you want I can email you my settings or get thru the steps with you.
