Sorry guys, but you all got it wrong. I an running turbogears standalone and not behind a firewall. I still need to find a solution to this problem. I am surprised that there are not more people complaining about it.
When I am talking about redirect I am talking about turbogears.redirect() which is a wrapper around cherrypy.HTTPRedirect. I tried to use both but I am getting the same behaviour. I looked into the inner working of cherrypy and server.socket_host to for ex www.mysite.org seemed like a good idea, but the turgogears parser didn't like it, it accepts only IP addresses. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this issue?
