Hi Diez, I am running SO 0.8 on my blog (a TG app), quite by accident actually. It caused a couple errors, but they were easy to fix. Admittedly, my blog is not that big of an app, but I believe the migration would not be a deal breaker. YMMV, but I'd say give it a shot.
