The script plays safe.  And it predates the successful working tests on 2.5. 

It was your choice to not go further and help and I respect that.  I did the
same with regards to 2.5 (I had no time to go and see how installing 2.5 along
with my 2.4 development environment would go, so I abstained myself from it,
but you never heard me saying anything to rush things up on supporting it.).
