Basically, it seems that SQLObject relies on a certain aspect of the Python DB-API to retrieve the type information from a database cursor, and pysqlite has a limitation meaning it doesn't fill this data in, meaning SQLObject can't tell what type each column has. > I'm trying to upgrade my database to a new version without losing data > I've already stored in it. If I'm not mistaken (which I may be mistaken about), you can add new tables easily with SQLite, just not edit them. So one workaround approach would be to create a new table with the amended format, copy the data across, drop the old table, then rename the new table to the old table's name. I expect most or all of this would have to be done directly with SQL. It may also be worth considering changing to a 'proper' relational database, if only for this stage of development while your database is changing. It still doesn't make upgrading as simple as it should be, but it's easier than copying tables across while trying to maintain correct auto-ids and the like. -- Ben Sizer --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TurboGears" group.
