For a sneak preview, the milestones at Trac are quite accurate. Most important point being that 1.1 will try its best to be backwards compatible so 1.0 apps can run unmodified but will start introducing new components as defaults (SqlAlchemy, Genshi, ToscaWidgets) in a quickstarted app and documentation will concentrate on them. CherryPy will be updated to version 3 too which much better supports WSGI so TG apps can take advantage of many third-party components and can be reused in larger sites.
