I hope turbogears site will mention the problems with unicode support and MySQL for other users sake And i hope this workaround will be posted from the moderators of this list to somewhere that it would be easy to reach, like the documentation on the site or something Switching from sqllite to MySQL (contrary to what is mentioned on the site) required code changes, egg version updates, and removing code from egg's Thats not what i call straightforward. At least it should be documented.
