Would also be curious to know if anyone is maintaining TurboTinyMCE. Given that ToscaWidgets are in the pipeline to take a lead in Turbogears 2; I suspect priority has gone elsewhere.
For the rest of your comment; I confess to being slightly puzzled as I have not had any problems getting values into TextArea or TinyMCE widgets. In the days since 1.0.2.2 I have used TinyMCE to the exclusion of TextArea so there could be an issue with TextArea widgets in 1.0.2.2.
