I've not used lightty (do you mean lighttpd?) but this sort of problem 
is exactly the kind I've found with reverse proxies. I've had bother 
with Content-Disposition headers going the other way, and more.

I've had to hack at the source code to get things working for me. You 
may need to do the same.
