Reading that I have the impression that this is just for bypassing a login screen for the built in user/group permissions system, and NOT a method to gather connection information for the database login of turbogears (the information in xxx.cfg). But I need the latter. Am I wrong? Guess I'll have to dig into the TG sources myself.
