Dreamhost is really bad for TG stuff. The last time I tried to get it working, I think I had minimal success with the FastCGI approach. The trick was to rename tg_fastcgi.fcgi to dispatch.fcgi. Basically, Dreamhost has a bunch of watchdog scripts that they run that kill off long running processes but, since they started supporting Rails, they specifically avoid killing processes named 'dispatch.fcgi'. While I did get it sort of running once, I remember it still being unstable enough that it wasn't worth spending any more time on. -- anders pearson : http://www.columbia.edu/~anders/ C C N M T L : http://www.ccnmtl.columbia.edu/ weblog : http://thraxil.org/
