If somebody on this list is up for working on this, it would be a huge help for TurboGears and all kinds of SQLAlchemy users.
One of the most asked questions on the list is about database migration support, and SQLAlchemy has a migrate extension, which has a lot of good work put into it already. But it needs a new maintainer and some love. See the attached message from Michael Bayer for more details. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Michael Bayer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Aug 3, 2007 12:31 PM Subject: Migrate: want to take over the project ? To: migrate-users <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> If someone is willing to step up and take over the project in earnest, producing a polished version either of Evan's branch or a new version, with plenty of unittests and documentation, as well as providing ongoing support, fixes, enhancements, I will integrate Migrate into SQLAlchemy itself where it will be available as part of the distribution, including whatever reasonable hooks are required within schema.py etc. to make it work the most smoothly. -- Mark Ramm-Christensen email: mark at compoundthinking dot com blog: www.compoundthinking.com/blog --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TurboGears" group.
