Or using another portable drive? I just got turbogears running on my usb stick using PortablePython and CommandPromptPortable from PortableApps. Does anyone else do this?
My solution (so far) is for Windows only, but I wonder if something can't be made truly portable (across platforms) by using qemu and linux. Don't know if that would work on Macs though. If people are interested I would be happy to share my (pretty simple) recipe.
